Echo Mini "Unsupported File Format" woes fixed
Trying to do some SEO in case anyone else is having this issue.
TL;DR use my echo mini library convert script (you will need to install python-mutagen).
A friend of mine skimmed the Echo Mini firmware and found that they're rolling their own code for m4a's and flac's and the like, but they use an existing library for mp3's.
So mp3's seem to be the most reliable file format. And just to be extra safe I'm using fixed bitrate, at 192kbps cause that's apparently transparent to the human ear.
Even still, there seems to be issues with certain tags breaking the Echo Mini's library database, so my program uses Mutagen to strip all tags except the essentials.
And finally, the Echo Mini doesn't notice the difference between "disc 1 track 1" and "disc 2 track 1", so some tag and folder renaming happens (which I learned you have to do from a very similar project).
